The new high-end iQOO 15 Ultra has been unveiled in China. This device from ViVo’s sub-brand is strongly focused on the gaming segment, as it includes two buttons on one of its sides and a 17 mm fan that cools the SoC during long gaming sessions.
The engine is the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, which, being manufactured in 3 nm, will provide high energy efficiency and ample power when needed. A processor with extra support, as IQOO includes its own Q3 chip that manages and improves the visual appearance on the screen. The RAM goes up to 24 GB of LPDDR5X ULTRA PRO type, which looks very fast, and the storage is UFS 4.1, so the user experience on this IQOO should be very positive.
The cameras are also very well-designed, with three 50 MP rear cameras, and we have a large 7400 mAh battery with 100 W fast charging and 50 W wireless charging. Finally, the operating system is Android 16 with the OriginOS 6 layer.
iQOO 15 Ultra specifications
The new Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 Octa Core processor manufactured in 3 nm is responsible for powering this new IQOO. Inside this chip, we find a configuration of two clusters, the fastest with two Prime Cores reaching 4.6 GHz and a second with six Performance Cores reaching 3.6 GHz. The GPU is an Adreno, for which no details have been specified at this time, but which promises an increase in performance and efficiency of around 25% over the previous generation.
The RAM has options with 16/24 GB LPDDR5X ULTRA PRO, and for storage, we have versions with 256/512 GB and 1 TB UFS 4.1 high speed.
Display and other features
The screen is a6.85-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 3168 x 1440 pixels, a refresh rate of 144 Hz, brightness up to 2600 nits, and compatibility with HDR10 and Dolby Vision.
For selfies, there is a 32 MP camera on the front, while on the back there is a 50 MP OIS main sensor, a 50 MP x5 OIS telephoto lens, and a 50 MP wide-angle lens. It also features an ultrasonic 3D fingerprint reader under the screen, an infrared sensor, 5G connectivity with Dual SIM, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, NFC, and GPS, among other features.
In terms of connection interfaces, this new phone has a USB-C 3.2 Gen1 port for data and charging. The battery is 7400 mAh with 100W fast charging, 40W wireless charging, and for audio, there are two symmetrical Dolby Atmos-compatible speakers.
Availability and price
- The new iQOO 15 Ultra is only available in China for around €700 at the current exchange rate. We won’t see it in the West, but we can always find it on AliExpress.
