The JMGO brand seems not to stop releasing products and today we have available the JMGPO Picoflix portable laser projector that surprises us with its design.
A projector with cylindrical design that we have seen in others like the Nebula for years, but this time it works horizontally. In addition, it surprises us by including a swivel ball joint at one end to achieve an adjustment of up to 127 degrees. This projector boosts its portable aspect thanks to its dimensions of 80 x 80 x 240 mm, its weight of 1.5 kg and an internal battery that provides up to 4.5 hours of video using the low power mode.
The new JMGPO Picoflix has a laser light source that guarantees a good brightness and includes support for HDR10 to get the most out of it. For sound we have a 10 W speaker compatible with Dolby Audio Digital. As operating system we have Google TV with Chromecast included and all certificates for streaming services such as Netflix, Disney and Amazon Prime Video among others.
JMGPO Picoflix Specifications
This projector features LASER DLP projection technology, with a native resolution of Full HD 1080p and brightness of 450 ANSI Lumens, quite high for this size. The focus is automatic, includes keystone correction, and we can get a screen with dimensions from 40 to 180″. The color quality we can get is 124% Rec709 and will give us a good fidelity.
On the side we have a rotating gimbal that allows us to rotate the projection point up to 127º. This allows to put it on any surface and direct the light of the spotlight to the desired point.
Connections, multimedia and other features
The SoC of the JMGPO Picoflix is a processor of which we do not know the exact data, but the motherboard includes 2 GB of RAM and 16 GB of storage memory. As connectivity we have Wifi 6 high speed and Bluetooth 5.4, to pair peripherals such as speakers, gamepads or headphones.
As for ports, this JMGO includes a USB-C port, two USB-A ports and an HDMI 2.1 video connector with eARC support. We also have an internal 10,000 mAh battery with fast charging that provides up to 4.5 hours of video.
