KC12 a powerful miniPC with the new Intel Core i5-1240P and Core i7-1260P

Today we present a new miniPC that we can find in AliExpress and other Chinese online stores called KC12 and that presents a very interesting hardware.

A small PC that has as options the Intel Core i5-1240P and Core i7-1260P processors, chips with high performance and that integrate an Intel Iris Xe GPU that far exceeds the previous Intel HD Graphics. These iGPUs allow us to run demanding games at 1080/720p resolutions, as we have verified in the Beelink Sei12 review, a miniPC very similar to this one.

Of its hardware, highlight its RAM expandability and its storage capacity, which is outstanding, since in addition to a double connector for high-speed NVMe drives, we have another one for SATA3 drives. It is also worth noting its provision of ports with 4 video outputs and its communications card with Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.0 that round off the interesting hardware of this low consumption PC and small dimensions.

KC12 Specifications

The KC12 mini PC can be purchased with two 12Gen processors such as the Intel Core i5-1240P and Core i7-1260P, both manufactured in 10 nm (Intel 7) with a consumption of 20/64 W TPD. These chips have 12 cores, four high-performance and eight low-power, and in total can handle 16 processes, the i5 up to 4.4 GHz and the i7 up to 4.7 GHz. As a GPU we find an Intel Iris Xe with 80 and 96 EU respectively. Some processors where we will not have problems to move any design app at a very good level or carry out demanding tasks in calculations.

For RAM we have two SO-DIMM DDR4 3200 Mhz slots with support for up to 64 GB. For storage, it has two connectors, an M.2 NVMe Gen4 2280 SSD and a last SATA3 with a bay for a 2.5″ storage unit.

Other features

For wireless connectivity in this mini PC we have a good supply, since we have a card with Wifi 6 and Bluetooth 5.0 with internal antenna.

The connectors included are varied, due to the fact that in the box we have 4 USB 3.1 ports, 2 USB 2.0 ports, an SD card reader, a pair of 3.5 mm audio jacks, a port RS232, two RJ45 2.5GB network connectors, a front USB Type-C 3.1 with support for video and two HDMI 2.0 and DisplayPort video outputs, all with support for outputting video up to 4K resolution at 60fps.
