We already have available the specifications of the new PCB Khadas VIM3 that this time made use of the new SoC of Amlogic S922X from which you can consult our test battery comparing it with all the SoC in the market. A development board loaded with options that comes in two versions the Khadas VIM3 Basic and the Khadas VIM3 Pro with different amounts of RAM and storage and that does not yet have an exit date. The format of this plate is the same as that of other Khadas and in fact it is compatible with the accessories of the PCB Khadas VIM1 and Khadas VIM2.
SoC, RAM and storage
The Khadas VIM3 will include the Amlogic S922X SoC a Hexa Core manufactured in 12nm with 4 ARM Cortex-A73 processors capable of reaching 1.8Ghz + 2 RAM Cortex-A53 processors that reach 1.9Ghz. The GPU is an ARM Mali-G52mp6 and we also have an audio DAC. This board can mount 2/4GB of LPDDR4 RAM, 16/32GB of eMMc 5.1 storage memory, 16MB of SPI flash memory, microSD card reader and has an M.2 port where we can install an NVMe SSD.
Other specifications
At the connectivity level we have an Ampak AP6398S chip that provides WiFi MiCo 2 × 2, Bluetooth 5.0 and a Gigabit Ethernet port. The included connectors are an HDMI 2.1 output, 1 USB 3.0 port, 1 USB 2.0 Type-C OTG port and a 40-pin connector. We also have two Infrared receivers and a 4-pin connector for a fan among others.
There is no specific news about OS available except Linux.
