New motherboard with integrated APU called KingnovyPC N17, a hardware that allows us to assemble a powerful and very flexible mini PC.
This mini-ITX board of only 170×170 mm offers configurations with the AMD Ryzen 7 7840HS, Ryzen 9 7940HS, Ryzen 7 8745HS and Ryzen 9 8945HS APUs, processors sufficient for any type of task. These chips integrate an efficient Radeon 780M iGPU that allows us to run games at a certain level, but it is even possible to install a discrete GPU in its PCIe 4.0 x8 slot. As we can see, it also has numerous ports and is a good platform for a NAS or a high-performance mini PC.
This motherboard has a mini-ITX form factor, so it is possible to mount it in any conventional case and install a large CPU fan or liquid cooling.
KingnovyPC N17 board specifications
In this motherboard we find in its most powerful version the AMD Ryzen 9 8945HS processor manufactured in 4nm with a TDP between 35 and 54 W and cooled by a fan. This chip is an Octa Core with 15 threads that reaches 5.2 Ghz in turbo mode. For graphics, we have an integrated AMD 780M with 12 RDNA 3 GPUs reaching 2.8 Ghz top speed. Its lower versions AMD Ryzen 7 7840HS, Ryzen 9 7940HS and Ryzen 7 8745HS offer similar specifications.
As for RAM we have two U-DIMM DDR5 4800 MHz slots expandable up to 64 GB in Dual Channel. In the storage section we have two M.2 PCIe 4.0×4 NVMe 2280 slots and allows us to connect 4 extra SATA disks.
Other notable features
On the backplate we have 2 USB-A 3.2 Gen2 ports, four USB-A 2.0, several 3.5 mm audio jacks and two 2.5G Ethernet ports. As video outputs, we have two HDMI 2.1 connectors and one DisplayPort 2.1 with support for up to 8K@60fps resolutions. In addition, we have audio front panel, BIOS reset on the back and multiple internal power connectors for CPU or cooling.
The power supply we need an ATX power supply in any form factor with 24 pin 8 pin connector. The compatible operating system is Windows 11 Pro, although we can also install Linux in any of its distro.
