Logitech G Cloud, new cloud handheld game console unveiled

After many leaks and rumors, the new Logitech G Cloud portable console has just been presented, which, as its name suggests, is oriented to cloud gaming.

A new console that comes out in the shadow of the Steam Deck and that presents as its main asset the compatibility with Xbox Game Pass, Geforce Now, Xbox Cloud gaming or Steam Link services. We also have Android 11 with full access to the Google Play Store if we want to install games locally. It will include a tablet mode where we will have a traditional screen interface that will complement the specific launcher that Logitech, console type game-oriented.

The Logitech G Cloud has a mid-range hardware and a 7-inch screen with Full HD resolution. Its design is perhaps its most interesting asset and distances it a bit from the option of adding a gamepad like the Gamesir X2 Pro to a smartphone. Although, for something more we have the Steam Deck which is already a complete PC and much more powerful, although larger.

Logitech G Cloud Specifications

Inside the Logitech G Cloud we find as heart a Qualcomm Snapdragon 720G SoC, an Octa Core manufactured in 8nm with Qualcomm Kryo 465 cores that reach 2.3 Ghz and includes an Adreno 618 GPU. A processor that already has some time, but that is sufficient for somewhat heavy Android games and move the system smoothly.

Display and other specifications

The screen is a 7-inch IPS with a Full HD resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels, with a 16:9 ratio, 450 nits brightness, 60 Hz refresh and ambient light sensor. The connectors on the Logitech G Cloud are a 3.5 mm audio jack, USB 3.1 Type-C port and a micro SD card reader.

For sound we have a pair of stereo speakers, two noise-canceling microphones, while the battery promises up to 12 hours of battery life thanks to its 6000 mAh size. The operating system is Android 11 and has a custom layer made by Tencent that gives it a very attractive look.
