Another box ready to enjoy paid streaming platforms in good quality, called MAG555, has arrived in stores.
A box that presents the usual design of these devices and that in this case includes support for Dolby Digital and carries the necessary certificates to watch Netflix 4K and other streaming platforms up to 4K. The operating system of the MAG555 is this time Google TV 12 and has as engine with an interesting Quad Core AMlogic S905Y4-B processor of which you can read our review and that among others includes native decoding of the AV1 codec.
A Box that could be interesting, but with a price too high for what it offers, as it is even above the new Google TV Streamer 4K.
MAG555 Specifications
This Android TV Box has as its core element an AMlogic S905Y4-B processor manufactured in 12 nm. This chip is a Quad Core with ARM Cortex-A35 processors and an ARM Mali-G31 MP2 GPU reaching 850 Mhz. A SoC includes AV1 codec decoding, support for video output up to 4K@60fps resolutions and compatibility with HDR 10, HDR10, HLG and Dolby Vision technologies.

Connectivity and other features
For wireless connectivity, we find Dual Band Wi-Fi aC with internal antennas and Bluetooth 5.0. The connectors included in the plastic box are two USB 2.0 ports, 3.5 mm jack for analog audio and video, a 10/100 Ethernet network connector, SPDIF digital audio output and an HDMI 2.1 video output.
Included with the MAG555 with Google TV system is a Bluetooth remote control with microphone and hotkeys for direct access to streaming platforms such as Netflix and Disney .
