Today we look at the Magcubic HY450C an updated version of the best-selling Magcubic HY450 projector that adds a carrying handle, autofocus improvements, lenses and some more minor detail.
This compact projector still features the Allwinner H716 Quad Core processor, the upgraded version of the Allwinner H713 projector chip we saw in a similar review. The native resolution of this projector remains at 1920 x 1080 pixels, has a brightness of 900 ANSI LUMENS, and short throw, as at 90 cm from the projection surface we get a 75-inch screen
The Magcubic HY450C also comes with 2 GB of RAM and 32 GB of storage, so we can play any type of video file without problems and install lots of apps from the Google store, since it has Android 11 in a version adapted to projectors as a system. As you can see, almost the same hardware as in the previous version.
Magcubic HY450C Specifications
This projector comes with LCD projection technology, a native Full HD resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels, contrast of 2600:1 and brightness of 900 ANSI Lumens. The focus is electronic, the keystone correction is automatic and we can get a screen with recommended dimensions ranging between 75″ and 150″ placing it at a distance of between only 0.9 and 2.1 m.
We will only be able to control it using the remote control that comes with this projector, which, by the way, has a microphone to use Google Assistant.
Processor and ports
This small projector includes as main engine, the Allwinner H716 processor. A chip that integrates inside 4 ARM Cortex-A53 processors and an ARM MALI-G31 GPU. We also have on its motherboard 2 GB of RAM DDR4, 32 GB of storage memory, wireless connectivity wifi 6 and Bluetooth 5.4.
As connectors, the Magcubic HY450C has a USB 2.0 port, audio, and analogue video input interface and an HDMI 2.0 video input. For audio, we have integrated in its body two 5 W speakers and the operating system is Android 11.
