Magicsee N4 another new Chinese TV-Boxe with Amlogic S905X SoC

We added to our marathoned list of TV-Boxes equipped with Amlogic’s Quad Core SoC, the new Magicsee N4, an entry-level equipment that at least presents a box with a somewhat different design. Regarding the configuration of this new mediaplayer there is little that calls our attention since it only has 1GB of RAM and for example does not include Bluetooth connectivity, a classic within the cheapest range. On the other hand it seems that it will include updates via OTA and the included OS of series is Android 7.1.2.

Inside the TV-Box Magicsee N4 we have the Amlogic S905X SoC as main chip, this has ARM Cortex-A53 CPU cores of 64bit with a speed of up to 1.5GHz and an ARM Mali-450mp5 GPU that can also decode 4K video at 60fps. On the board we find 1GB of RAM, 8GB of eMMc storage memory and dual band WiFi with internal antenna (no Bluetooth). In terms of connectivity we find two USB 2.0 ports, microSD card reader, an HDMI 2.0a, 10/100 network port, SPDIF connector and analog output for audio and video.

The operating system is Android 7.1.2 with updates via OTA and as always we have an IR remote control between the included accessories in addition to feeder and HDMI cable.

  • The Magicsee N4 TV-Box will be available shortly at the official Magicsee store on Aliexpress.com for around $40 with shipping costs.
