A new vertical console has been unveiled under the name MANGMI AIR Y, a version of its horizontal counterpart, the MANGMI AIR X, which has proven successful.
It remains to be seen whether this new console’s screen will be 4:3 or 3:2, as it is not visible in the promotional image. If it follows the trend of this product line, the chipset will be the Qualcomm Snapdragon 662, an entry-level processor; it will likely feature 4 GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 64 GB of eMMC storage, expandable via its microSD card slot. As we can see, this new model is positioned as part of a “Series,” so we’ll likely see a MANGMI AIR Pro version with more RAM and storage.
As for controls, the layout includes an analog D-pad, two Hall-effect joysticks, four triggers, Start, Select, Menu, a volume wheel, and a function key. The connectors include two USB Type-C OTG ports and a 3.5 mm audio jack. This console also features a rear speaker and a 6-axis gyroscope. If this is the SoC, it will run Android 14 with a custom environment featuring emulators called M Space.
