In our usual walk through the great bazaar of Aliexpress.com we find today a new passive mini PC that surprises us by the inclusion of the Ryzen 5 2500U AMD APU oriented to laptops and that we saw in detail in one of our REVIEW. This miniPC model called MAXTANG VHFP30 has a really compact size and has a design designed to dissipate heat using its own metal box, has 8GB of RAM integrated and many connectivity options.
SoC, RAM and storage
The MAXTANG VHFP30 miniPC includes an AMD Ryzen 5 2500U Quad Core APU with Eight wires manufactured in 14nm with processors that reach up to 3.6 GHz and a powerful Radeon Vega 8 GPU. This compact PC in barebone format allows us to mount two SODIMM DDR4 2400MHz modules in Dual Channel, we have as storage options the possibility of using an M.2 NVMe 2280 SSD disk or mounting an internal 2.5″ SATA disk and we also have an SD card reader. This model is totally passive and has an aluminum box with a top grill that it uses as a heatsink.

Within this miniPC we have a WiFi a/b/g/n Dual Band and Bluetooth 4.0 adapter for wireless connectivity with two connectors for external antennas. On the perimeter of the box we have 4 USB 2.0 ports, two USB 3.0, USB Type-C, a 3.5mm audio jack, RS232 COM port, two Gigabit network ports, an HDMI 2.0 ports with 4K@60 HDR support , another DisplayPort and Kensington lock. This mini PC is compatible with Windows 10 and Linux.
