The cheapest range of Chinese Smart Boxes is still going strong, and today we can see that for a little over $23 we can buy the new MECOOL KH3 Box equipped with Allwinner’s simplest chip.
The SoC Allwinner H313 is one of the most basic Box chips available today and is designed for use as a media player up to 1080p as we saw in a review of another Box with this SoC. No doubt the greatest attraction of this box is its price, since its specifications although quite basic allow us to use it with KODI or for IPTV. Its operating system is Android 10 but the optimization in this type of box is minimal.
SoC, RAM and storage
The TV-Box MECOOL KH3 includes as an engine the Allwinner H313 SoC a Quad Core with ARM Cortex-A53 processors that integrates Mali-G31 MP2 GPUs with native decoding of the h.265 and VP9 codecs and support for HDR10 video. We have on board versions with 2 GB of DDR3 RAM and 16 GB of eMMc storage memory that can be expanded from the micro SD card reader that includes this equipment on the side of its plastic box.
Other specifications
In terms of wireless connectivity this TV-Box has b/g/n wifi but no Bluetooth. As connectors, we have an HDMI 2.0a interface, 10/100 network connector, two USB 2.0 ports, a 3.5 mm jack through which we have analog audio and video output and a jack to connect the IR sensor. This TV-Box also comes with a basic quality IR remote control with quick access keys.
