Mecool KM8 now with Android TV 9, Bluetooth and S905X-B SoC

Today we find on Aliexpress.com a new version of the TV-Box Mecool KM8, a mediaplayer from which you have our Review available and which in this variant includes some significant novelty. Undoubtedly the main novelty is the jump to the version of Android TV 9 while on the other hand now we now find Bluetooth 4.2 connectivity and as an engine a S905X-B SoC, a variant we suppose that smaller, the S905X chip that we did not know until now and the that at the moment we do not have information although it is possible to differentiate in Dolby Digital support. The rest of the specifications look the same, including the Google certification with Google Widevine Level1, Microsoft Playready, support for Google home and Chromecast.

 
SoC,RAM and storage

The Mecool KM8 Box includes the S905X-B SoC from Amlogic, a Quad Core with 64-bit ARM Cortex-A53 CPU cores capable of reaching 1.5GHz and a Mali-450mp5 GPU. On the board we have 2 GB of DDR3 RAM and 16 GB of eMMc storage memory that can be extended from the microSD card reader that includes this equipment in one of the sides of its box. A configuration with a SoC and enough memories to move any multimedia file without problems as well as most games.

Other specifications

The Mecool KM8 TV-Box includes b/g/n Wi-Fi with external antenna and Bluetooth 4.2. The connectors included in the plastic box are a pair of USB 2.0 ports, HDMI 2.0a video output, analog audio and video output port and a RJ45 fast Ethernet 10/100 network connector. We also find among the accessories a remote control with support for commands with voice.
