MECOOL KP2 SE, compact FHD projector with Netflix upgraded

New projector of the MECOOL brand called MECOOL KP2 SE, a version of the previous MECOOL KP2 with color change and some technical improvements.

The MECOOL KP2 SE projector offers us a Linux ARM operating system, has Full HD image quality services such as Netflix, Prime Video, YouTube, and other compatible channels. In addition, we have a compact design with anti-dust system and a power of 650 ANSI Lumens that will give us an image with certain quality. The projector also stands out for its SoC, a Mediatek MT9266, which we are seeing more and more products in this range and that can give an acceptable performance.

MECOOL KP2 SE specifications

The MECOOL KP2 SE projector maintains LCD technology as projection system, has a native resolution of Full HD 1080p and brightness of no less than 600 ANSI Lumens and 12000 Lux. The focus system is automatic and now we can control it from the remote control. The keystone correction is also automatic 4D and so we will have a better geometry. With this projector we can theoretically enjoy a screen up to 240″.

This projector integrates in the back two 5 W speakers compatible with Dolby Audio and also offers us a Bluetooth remote control to control it.

Connections, multimedia and other features

As SoC we find the Mediatek MT9266 Quad Core of which we have little data and which has a Mali G31 MP2 GPU, which includes HDR10 support. It also includes on board 1 GB of RAM DDR4, 8 GB of storage memory, wifi 5 2T2R Dual Band and Bluetooth 5.1.

The new MECOOL KP2 SE projector features custom designed Linux ARM 4.19 operating system. It includes a USB 2.0 port for content playback, 3.5 mm audio jack and an HDMI 1.4 video input connector.
