The new MediaTek Dimensity 9500 has been officially presented, the new top of the range SoC of this well-known brand that aims very high thanks to its power and energy efficiency.
A new SoC manufactured in 2 nm and adopting the new Arm v9.3 architecture and that according to the brand would overcome, by the minimum, the Apple A19 Pro and would leave far behind in all aspects to the Dimensity 9400 Plus, the previous top of the range. The culprits of this high performance are the new Lumex series cores, as we find a C1-Ultra core that reaches 4.21 GHz, 2 C1-Premium cores that reach 3.5 GHz and 4 C1-Pro cores that stay at 2.7 GHz. The GPU is also a new Arm Mali-G1 Ultra MC12 capable of encoding and decoding video up to 8K resolutions and has support for Ray Tracing and Unreal Engine 5.6.
Naturally, we have a powerful MediaTek NPU 990 that will optimize and improve GPS and 5G and Wi-Fi 7 connectivity. A very interesting SoC that will also compete with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 Elite and its new Oryon cores.
