The new MediaTek Dimensity 9500s has been officially unveiled, a new high-end SoC that sits between the Mediatek Dimensity 9500 and the Dimensity 9400.
A new SoC manufactured in 3 nm and which, despite its name and features, is much closer to the Dimensity 9400 than the 9500. This chip has a 1+3+4 configuration with a Cortex X-925 core reaching 3.73 GHz, 3 Cortex-X4 cores reaching 3.3 GHz, and 4 Cortex-720 cores remaining at 2.4 GHz. The GPU is also a new Arm Mali-G1 Ultra MC11/12 capable of encoding and decoding video up to 8K resolutions with support for Ray Tracing and Unreal Engine 5.6, reaching 1,612 GHz.
Naturally, we have an NPU about which we have no details, 5G connectivity, 6-in-1 GPS, Wi-Fi 7, and Bluetooth 5.4. Its Imagiq ISP can manage photo sensors up to 320 MP, and screens with up to WQHD resolution and a refresh rate of 180 Hz can be used. Finally, we have LPDDR5X RAM support at 9600 GHz and UFS 4.x storage.
