The new Meizu Lucky 08 smartphone has just gone on sale in China, a mid-high-end terminal that doesn’t look like it will be officially released in the West.
This new Meizu terminal has some pretty good technical features, which guarantee excellent performance in all areas. Inside we find a Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 processor capable of moving most apps and games without problems and that as a reference has a score of around 700,000 points in Antutu V9.
The screen is also one of its strengths, as we find a 6.78″ AMOLED with a great brightness of 800 nits and as main camera we have one with 108 MP sensor. The operating system is Android 14 with the Flyme AIOS layer and finally note that on the side we have a programmable red button that takes us to iA applications.
Specifications of the Meizu Lucky 08
The SoC chosen in this new terminal is a Snapdragon 7s Gen 2, an Octa Core manufactured in 4 nm. This is a chip with 4 ARM Kryo processors that reach 2.4 Ghz and 4 ARM Kryo-A720 that reach up to 1.95 GHz. In the graphics section we have integrated ADRENO 710 GPU that reaches 1.3 Ghz and allows us to play demanding titles with total fluidity.
The on-board RAM memory is 8/12 GB, which allows us to load multiple apps or browsing tabs. For storage we have options with 256/512 GB expandable by micro SD card up to 1.5 TB.
Display and other features
The screen of the Meizu Lucky 08 is a 6.78″ LTPS AMOLED display, with a resolution of 2780 x 1254 pixels with HDR support, 800 nits brightness and a refresh rate of up to 144 Hz. In the photographic section we have a main rear camera with 108 MP EIS supported by a 2MP auxiliary for macro and depth and LED flash, while in the front area we have an 8 MP camera .
For audio we find two speakers and the battery is 6000 mAh with fast charging compatible with QC4 , PD3.0, PPS and Super mCharge protocols of 44 W. For connectivity we have Wifi 5 and Bluetooth 5.1 and a 4G/5G modem with Dual SIM. As interfaces we find a single USB-C 2.0 port while in this case the fingerprint reader to unlock the smartphone is integrated into the screen.
Availability
- The new Meizu Lucky 08 has just gone on sale in China for an exchange price of around $230. A terminal that will not have a western version, although it can be purchased in some online stores.
