Mini PC T12 AMD A4-7210 a low-cost clone of the Intel Skull Canyon

Today we find the peculiar Mini PC T12 AMD A4-7210, a low-cost clone of the Intel Skull / Hades Canyon but with totally different hardware and a similarity that, as we will see is only for the outer casing, the price it’s like ten times less too. A miniPC with measurements of only 204x126x35 mm and thanks to this feature it can be fitted on any desktop, although we do not know how the cooling system will work in this compact box.

Processor, RAM and storage

The small Mini PC T12 AMD A4-7210 computer includes an AMD A4-7210 Carrizo-L APU, a Quad Core with a frequency between 1.8 and 2.2GHz, integrates a Radeon R3 Mullins GPU that surpasses any Intel HD Graphics, the set is manufactured in 28nm and has a consumption of 12 / 25W TPD. The included RAM memory is 4 / 8GB of DDR3 SO-DIMM RAM and integrates 64GB capacity eMMC storage as standard, to expand it we have an mSATA connector and a SATA port to install a 2.5″ disk.

Other specs

Regarding network connectivity, we have a WiFi Dual Band adapter with Bluetooth 4.2 and a Gigabit Ethernet connector. The included ports are 2 USB 3.0, 2 USB 2.0, 3.5mm audio jack, a microSD card reader, two HDMI compatible with resolutions up to 2K. This small computer comes standard with Windows 10, the hardware limitation is that it does not support h.265 or VP9 decoding and we stick with h.264, the most widespread format today.
