The Minisforum brand has started its crowdfunding campaign for its Minisforum DeskMini DMAF5 mini PC at Indiegogo, a small and powerful product. This computer shares similar specifications with the Beelink GT-R we saw recently in detail, although it looks more for the compact design and cuts options in some sections.
Processor, RAM and storage
The Minisforum Deskmini DMAF5 includes a Ryzen 5 3550H APU Quad Core and eight threads capable of reaching 3.7Ghz in turbo mode and includes a Radeon Vega 8 Graphics GPU, the cores are Zen+ manufactured in 14 nm and has a power consumption of 25/35 W TPD. To keep the system cool it has a lower blower type fan (the Beelink GT-R has two).
For RAM we will have 2 slots for SO-DIMM DDR4 memories while for storage we will have available an NVMe M.2 port (the Beelink GT-R has another M.2 SATA port as well) and another SATA3 with space for a 2.5 inch drive.
Other specifications
In the wireless connectivity section it includes a Wi-Fi 6 Dual Band and Bluetooth 5.1 adapter with an Intel AX200. On the front of the box we have 2 USB 3.0 ports, one of them for charging, a USB 3.1 Type-C port with video output, 3.5 mm audio jack and double microphone for Cortana.
On the back we have two Gigabit network connectors, two USB 3.0 connectors, one HDMI 2.0 video output and one DP 1.4 with 4K@60fps HDR support which gives us a total of three simultaneous displays. This mini PC is compatible with Windows 10 and Linux, also includes VESA support.
