New mini PC available under the name MINISFORUM NAB9 Plus, a machine that is updated with the addition of OCuLink support.
This small computer now offers us an OCuLink port that allows us to connect an external GPU with maximum performance. As an engine it keeps the same Intel Core i9-12900HK 14-core processor, ideal for any powerful calculation with maximum performance. In total we have three video outputs with output resolution up to 8K@60 / 4K@120 and 2.5G network ports. It also highlights a new improved ventilation system, with more air vents, liquid metal and fan on the NVMe SSD.
On the other hand, it still maintains DDR4 memory instead of DDR5, which would have been more interesting to improve the performance of its integrated Intel Xe GPU.
MINISFORUM NAB9 Plus Specifications
This small PC includes a powerful Intel Core i9-12900HK processor manufactured in 10nm (Intel 7). This chip has 14 cores with 8 efficient cores 6 performance cores reaching up to 5 Ghz. The GPU is anIntel Iris Xe with 96 EU that reaches 1.45 Ghz. This will allow us to play a good number of demanding games in 1080p quality and use apps with demanding calculations.
As for RAM we have two SO-SIMM DDR4 3200 Mhz slots where we can install up to 64 GB. For storage we have an SSD M.2 2280 NVMe PCIe 4.0 connector and another SATA3 with space for a 2.5-inch storage unit.
Connectivity and other highlights
We also have a Wifi 6E adapter and Bluetooth 5.3 that will give us the maximum transmission speed. On the perimeter of the case we have two USB-A 3.2 Gen2 ports, two USB-A 2.0, a USB4 up to 40 Gbps, OCuLink up to 64 Gbps, 3.5 mm audio jack and two RJ45 2.5GB network connectors available. As for the video section, we have HDMI 2.0 DP 1.4 video output ports and another USB4 with DisplayPort output with support for 8K@60 or 4K@120 HDR resolutions.
A small external 19 V power supply and VESA bracket for hanging on a monitor are included as standard. The operating system in the versions with SSD included is Windows 11 Pro.
