We can now buy on Amazon the new Minisforum UN100C a low power consumption mini PC that comes looking for a place in offices and home.
A mini PC that stands out for its attractive exterior design, as it has a metal case made of CNC with a height of only 3.4 cm. Inside highlights its LPDDR5 RAM memory that will give us a good plus of speed, too bad it is not expandable and its Intel N100 quad-core processor with a TDP of 6W TPD, manufactured in 10 nm of which you can read our review.
Also, despite its size, the Minisforum UN100C has a good number of ports for a mini PC that can be perfectly suited for office and studio productivity, web browsing and as a 4K multimedia player without problems.
Specifications of the Minisforum UN100C
In the new Minisforum UN100C we find the Intel N100 processor manufactured in 10 nm with four cores and four execution threads that reach up to 3.4 GHz. For the graphics section, we have an integrated Intel UHD Graphics GPU with 24EU compatible with VP9 and h.265 video codecs up to 4K@60fps. This processor and GPU is not designed for powerful 3D games, but it does allow us to use the device for other daily multimedia or office tasks smoothly.
In the RAM memory section we have two versions with 8 /16 GB LPDDR5 4800 Mhz that come soldered on board and can not be expanded. For storage, we have capacity for an SSD M.2 2280 that we find in different sizes, and we have space for another internal 2.5-inch SATA 3 unit.
Other outstanding features
For wireless connectivity, the Minisforum UN100C includes an M.2 module with dual band Wi-Fi aC and Bluetooth 4.2. In the connector area, we have a fairly complete configuration. Despite its size we have a micro SD card reader on one side, two USB 3.2 Gen1 ports, two USB 3.2 Gen2, 3.5 mm audio jack, 2 Gigabit Ethernet ports , a USB Type-C connector with data / DisplayPort and fast PD charging and 2 HDMI 2.0 video outputs that allow video playback up to 4K@60fps resolution without problems.
