The spectacular Windows tablet MINISFORUM V3 shows its potential by publishing performance tests, a system with great features.
In this Windows 11 tablet we find a 14-inch screen that we can turn into a laptop by connecting any keyboard and mouse. We have a new generation AMD Ryzen 8 8840U processor that includes an AI core to accelerate these processes. We can also use it as a monitor with the VLink port that integrates, so we can connect external devices such as Nintendo Switch or other more powerful PC.
In addition, as we will see we have a high level specifications to work and play demanding games, thanks to the RDNA3 GPU we have the capacity of a portable console in this tablet.
MINISFORUM V3 Specifications
In the new MINIS FORUM V3 tablet we find an AMD Ryzen 7 8840U processor with Octa Core configuration that integrates very efficient Zen 4 cores thanks to the 4 nm used in its manufacture. This APU includes an AMD Radeon 780M GPU that thanks to the RDNA3 architecture offers a slightly higher performance than the RDNA2. To keep temperatures at bay we have two internal fans.
As we can see in the tests that have been published in the Minis Forum Discord we have very good results. But basically they are the same as we can get in an AMD Ryzen 7 7840U of the previous generation, as it only changes by the inclusion of the core for AI.
The RAM is integrated and mounts up to 32 GB LPDDR5 with 6400 MHz speed. For storage we find an M.2 PCIe SSD up to 2 TB that will have several versions for sale. In addition, there is a UHS-II SD card reader for easy storage expansion.
Display and other notable features
The display of the MINISFORUM V3 is a 14-inch IPS touchscreen with a resolution of 2560×1600 pixels, 500 nits power, 100% P3 color fidelity, 4096 pressure levels support and 165 Hz refresh rate. For wireless connectivity we have Wifi 6E Bluetooth 5.3 and as connectors we have 2 USB4 ports complete with video support and PD 65 W charging, SD reader and 3.5 mm audio jack. In addition to the aforementioned VLink video input with DisplayPort support.
The integrated battery is 50.82 Wh with 65 W PD fast charging from its USB4. We also have cameras on both sides, specifically a 2MP front, 5MP rear and in the audio section we find 4 speakers and two microphones. In the power button we have fingerprint reader, so we can unlock the system quickly and securely.
Price and availability
- The MINISFORUM V3 currently has no price or release date, but it is expected to be around $899 for its hardware, depending on the RAM + M.2 installed.
