MINIX ER937-AI and MINIX ER936-AI mini PCs with next-generation AMD Strix Point processors and multiple connectors announced.
The new MINIX ER937-AI / ER936-AI offer a peculiar design with ventilation slots in the upper area. As engine we have processors manufactured by TSMC in 4 nm, on the one hand, we have the powerful AMD Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 with 12 cores / 24 threads and on the other hand the AMD Ryzen AI 9 HX 365 with 10 cores / 20 threads. Both with a core for AI with 50 TOPS of computing power and high performance iGPU Radeon 890M/880M that is manufactured with the new RDNA3.5 architecture, which allows us to play quite demanding games.
These compact computers are perfect for all types of work thanks to their raw power and their core for AI tools. We can also hang them behind a monitor thanks to its VESA support.
MINIX ER937-AI / ER936-AI Specifications
In the MINIX ER937-AI we have the AMD Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 processor with 12 cores, on one side, 4 powerful Zen 5 and on the other 8 Zen 5C with low power consumption, 24 threads and reaching 5.1 GHz. It integrates a Radeon 890M GPU with 16 CU with a speed of 2900 MHz.
In the MINIX ER936-AI we find the AMD Ryzen AI 9 HX 365 processor that has 10 4P 6C cores, 20 threads and reaches 5 GHz. The GPU is the Radeon 880M with 12 CU. In both of them we have a 50 TOPS AI core for artificial intelligence tasks.
In the RAM section we have two SODIMM DDR5 5600 MHz slots that allow use in Dual Channel configuration. For storage we have a M.2 2280 NVMe PCIe x4 SSD, which allows us to expand up to 8 TB of storage.
Connectivity and other features
As wireless connectivity we have a very fast adapter with Wifi 6E and Bluetooth 5.2. As connectors on the front of the case we find 3.5 mm audio jack, a USB4, two USB-A 3.2 and a power button. At the rear there is another USB4 port for connecting an external GPU, another USB-A 3.2 and two high-speed Ethernet 2.5 GB network connectors. As video outputs we have three options HDMI 2.1, DisplayPort 1.4 and USB-C with 8K@60 HDR support.
These computers come with Windows 11 PRO by default, but if we want we can install a Linux distribution, as it is compatible. It also has VESA support for hanging it on a monitor.
