Today we have a new and peculiar MINIX peripheral, it is the MINIX NEO C SSD a model that combines a USB Type-C Hub with several ports with the storage of an M.2 SSD disk inside. An interesting option for those who require both to increase connectivity and have a fast storage unit at the same time. This model is similar to other USB Hub of this brand that we saw in detail for a while, products oriented to the Macbook, Macbook Pro and Macbook Air mainly.
These new Hubs are called MINIX NEO S1 for the model with 128GB disk and MINIX NEO S2 for which they mount a 240GB disk, available in gray and metallic pink. The installed SSD disk has a read speed of 415MB/s and a write speed of 400MB/s, a unit in M.2 format that already offered MINIX in its miniPC to expand and replace the eMMC memory installed by default.
At the level of connections we have identical options, we have an HDMI 1.4 port with 4K@30Hz output resolution, two USB 3.0 ports, USB-C connector for power supply and USB-C male cable to connect to our laptop. The measurements are 115 x 43 x 11 mm, it weighs 60 grams and has a front status LED.
