MINIX NEO J50C-4 presented with Pentium Silver J5005 processor

The new MINIX NEO J50C-4 miniPC has just been presented at the IFA in Berlin that is being held these days. It’s a mini PC based on the Pentium Silver J5005 processor and as always comes backed by the quality that Minix gives to its products. Of this new miniPC stand out its three video outputs capable of reaching 4K @ 60fps resolutions at the same time and is that in addition to the typical HDMI and Display Port has a USB Type-C that this time if it takes video.

Processor, RAM and storage

The MINIX NEO J50C-4 includes as engine a Pentium Silver J5005 processor, a x86 Quad Core manufactured in 14nm capable of up to 2.8GHz of speed and that integrates an Intel HD 605 GPU. It also includes 4GB of DDR4 RAM that occupy one of the 2 So-DIMM sockets where we can install up to 16GB and 32GB of eMMC 5.1 storage memory although we have a M.2 2280 port where we can click on a storage unit. The ventilation of the device is very careful because although it has a fan also includes a large sink to minimize the use of it.

Other specifications

Wireless connectivity is guaranteed by an adapter that includes WiFi Dual Band aC and Bluetooth 4.1. At connectivity level we have 3 USB 3.0 ports, 3.5mm SPDIF / analog audio jack, Gigabit Ethernet port, HDMI 2.0a output, miniDP port and finally a USB Type-C connector.

The operating system included is Windows 10 Pro 64bits and the box includes a Kensigton anchor, reset and power button.
