Today MINIX has sent us information about a new mini PC model called MINIX NEO Z83-4U that comes pre-installed with the Ubuntu 18.04.1 system as operating system. This mini PC is ideal for continuous use thanks to his fanless system to digital signage for its functions of remote or programmed ignition. A very similar device from the previous model MINIX NEO Z83-4 Pro.
Specifications
The MINIX NEO Z83-4U miniPC is updated with the processor with the Intel Atom x5-Z8350 Quad Core with 4GB of RAM and this time improves its internal storage with 64GB of internal storage eMMC 5.1. With this configuration we have Ubuntu 18.04.1 installed that allows us to connect and manage this device in professional networks. A VESA support, Dual Band WiFi 2.4/5 Ghz, Bluetooth 4.2 and Gigabit Ethernet are included as standard. It has three USB 2.0 connectors, a USB 3.0 port, audio jack with integrated microphone connector, Mini DisplayPort 1.2, HDMI 1.4 that allows 4K@30fps video and Kensington lock.
This model of miniPC also includes an MCU chip (microcontroller unit) Delta Electronics that allows control of ignition Wake on LAN, auto recovery from a power failure and programming of auto power-on.
