Introducing the new low power mini PC MINIX NEO Z97, a machine that offers the efficient Intel N97 processor and debuts a new external design.
This Intel N97 has a TPD consumption of 12 W which doubles that of the popular Intel N100 (6W) and also offers higher CPU and GPU core speeds. As we have seen in some review this processor is above the Intel N100 despite its nomenclature. A configuration, this computer, which is perfectly valid for use at the level of office automation, productivity, education or multimedia playback up to 4K@60 HDR quality.
As we see on the board we have LPDDR5 4000 MHz. We also have triple video output, which allows its use in digital signage or to assemble a system of multiple monitors.
MINIX NEO Z97 Specifications
On the motherboard of this mini PC we find a 12th generation Intel N97 processor manufactured in 10 nm and with a maximum power consumption of 12W. This chip is a Quad Core with four threads and speed up to 3.6 GHz. The GPU is an Intel Core UHD GPU with 24EU up to a speed of 1.2 Ghz. A processor suitable for desktop use, light gaming, industrial work, digital signage and design applications with mid-level projects.
For RAM we have 12 GB LPDDR5 4000 MHz soldered on the board. For storage we find a M.2 PCIe SSD with 512 GB capacity expandable up to 4 TB.
Other notable features
As for wireless connectivity inside the MINIX NEO Z97 we have an adapter with Wifi 6 and Bluetooth 5.2. In terms of ports we find on the sides of the small box a 3.5mm audio jack, two RJ45 Gigabit network connectors, three USB 3.0 and three video outputs with 2 HDMI 2.1 and 1 DisplayPort 1.4 that allow to output video resolutions up to 4K@60fps.
The included operating system is Windows 11 Pro and is compatible with Linux distributions. By default an external power supply and a small VESA bracket are included for installation behind any TV or monitor.
