Announced the new MINIX NUC355 mini PC, a computer with the Intel Core i3-N355 processor, much more powerful than the classic Intel N150 that we have seen in countless similar computers.
The MINIX NUC355 is the big brother of the recently introduced MINIX NUC150. This time we find on the motherboard the Intel Core i3-N355 eight-core processor that replaces the previous N305. A new low power chip manufactured in 10 nm (Intel 7) of only 15W TPD that has a high increase in power over the Intel N150, as it has twice as many cores and better iGPU, something to consider if we need to use it in heavy tasks.
We also have three simultaneous video outputs, this allows us to use it for example in digital signage or to work with multiple open documents. We have VESA support to hang it on a monitor and its measurements are only 117 x 111 x 36 mm.
MINIX NUC355 Specifications
This new mini PC offers us the 12th generation Intel Core i3-N355 processor manufactured in 10 nm and with a maximum power consumption of 15W. This chip is an Octa Core with eight threads and speed up to 3.9 GHz. The GPU is an Intel Core UHD GPU with 32 EU. A processor suitable for desktop use, light gaming, industrial work, digital signage and design applications with high load.
In the RAM memory section we have a SODDIM of 16 GB DDR5 at 4800 MHz, we can expand or replace it. For storage we have a 512 GB NVMe M.2 2280 PCIe 3.0×4 SSD M.2 2280 PCIe 3.0×4 that we can also expand up to 4 TB.
Other notable features
In the connectivity section, we have a 2.5G Ethernet port, wireless adapter with Wifi 6 and Bluetooth 5.1. In the connector area we find on the perimeter of the case three USB 3.2 Gen2 up to 10 Gbps, two USB-C one of them with DP PD video output and a 3.5 mm audio jack. It also has two HDMI 2.1 TMDS video outputs that allow video playback up to 4K@60fps HDR resolutions.
Windows 11 Pro is installed as the system, but we can install a version of Linux if we deem it convenient. It includes a 19V DC power adapter and VESA bracket for mounting on any monitor.
