When we take it out of the box the MINIX P4K charger has no adapter mounted and we can only extend the US connectors, with those connectors closed we can fit the European adapter. The size is very compact, it comes with an orange rubber that we can change for white and black rubber. On the back we have two USB Type-A ports, a USB Type-C port, HDMI connector and a status LED.

Ports and charging system

Available connectors

In the rear area of the MINIX P4K where we have the different ports, the space between them is quite large and we will not have problems to connect cables of all kinds. The HDMI 1.4 port offers video output if we have connected the charger to a USB-C 3.2 or higherdevice with Alt Display mode.

Performance tests

Load and power

We connected to the MINIX P4K an Android smartphone and also a laptop with PD system via USB-C. As we could see, the protocol management is correct and fast charging is reached without compatibility issues. For everything to work properly we need to use the included USB 3.2 Gen 2 certified cable.

  • USB-C: PD / 20V 3A Max / 60W
  • USB-A: Single Charge / 5V 1A Max / 5W
  • Multi ports: 65 W

Thermal tests

During the charging and use of the MINIX P4K we check with a plug meter what power it is supplying and also the surface temperature it reaches. If it has a high supply mode it heats up superficially, but this is normal, the case is already designed to dissipate heat and serves its purpose.

Internal storage and HDMI

As for the SATA 3.0 2242 SSD disk inside, as we can see, we have totally normal figures for this type of disk. We put the HDMI 1.4 port to the test as well and check that we have video output optimally without complications up to 4K@30Hz.

Conclusions and Purchase Link

Opinion

This new MINIX P4K charger gives us unique features that are quite practical. On the one hand, we have a charger with a very compact size that gives us up to 65 W of power, but we can also save our files on the internal 512 GB SSD. It is also possible to use it as a USB HUB and if we need to, it is very easy to output a video signal through its integrated HDMI 1.4 port.

Thanks to its compact size, it is easy to reach anywhere, for example in our laptop bag. An efficient system that, as we have seen, does not heat up and allows us to store large amounts of data, we can carry our images, documents or family movies.

The MINIX P4K charger is undoubtedly an interesting option for those looking for an all-in-one. Few systems we have found with all these functions.
