Today we look at the compact system-on-module based on the versatile Rockchip RK3588 Octa Core SoC, the MIXTILE CORE 3588E.
Mixtile releases this new high performance board in AI (6 TOPS), with a 260 pin edge connector in small form factor (69.6 x 45 mm). It can be used on carrier boards that are compatible with NVIDIA Jetson TX2 NX developer boards. This System-on-module has enough power to execute high-res video encoding/decoding, graphics processing, and running AI apps.
This is essentially a compute module, so all inputs and outputs on the board are through the 260 pin connector, communicating through four PCIe 3.0 x4 lanes and one PCIe 2.1 lane. The operating systems supported by the MIXTILE CORE 3588E are Debian 11, Android 11, Ubuntu 22.04 and Armbian 23.07.

The MIXTILE CORE 3588E system-on-module is powered by the 8nm Rockchip RK3588 processor. A chip that integrates 4 ARM Cortex-A76 cores capable of reaching 2.4 GHz and 4 other ARM Cortex-A55 CPUs that reach up to 1.8 GHz. In the graphics section, we have a powerful ARM Mali-G610MC4 GPU.
For RAM, we have options for all needs with versions of 4/16/ 32 GB LPDDR4. For storage, we also have options of 32/128/256 GB eMMc 5.1.
Through this board we can get to use a wide variety of ports such as DisplayPort 1.2a and HDMI 2.1 video outputs up to 8K resolutions. We also have control of up to 3 4-lane or 5x 2-lane MIPI CSI interfaces @ 2.5 Gbps/lane cameras and a 48MP ISP. We also have access to a 10/100/1000 BASE-T network connector, one USB 3.0 (Gen1) and 3 USB 2.0 ports
