The new Motorola Edge 70 Plus, an upper-mid-range smartphone that comes pre-installed with Android 16 and features a 200 MP main camera with image stabilization has just been launched worldwide. What’s more, the launch comes with freebies, as it includes a Moto Tag 2 tracker and the Moto Watch Fit smartwatch.
Inside its IP64-rated, MIL-STD-810H shock-resistant body lies a 4-nm octa-core processor, the Snapdragon 7s Gen 3. This chipset is capable of running most apps and games smoothly and, as a reference, scores around 1,000,000 points on Antutu v11.
The on-board RAM is 8 GB of LPDDR5X, and for storage, there are options of 128 or 256 GB of UFS 3.1, expandable via microSD card up to 1 TB.
The Motorola Edge 70 Plus features a 6.78-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 2,772 x 1,272 pixels, a peak brightness of 5,200 nits, a refresh rate of up to 144 Hz, and is protected by Gorilla Glass 7i. On the camera front, it features a 200 MP main rear camera with OIS, supported by a 2 MP secondary camera for macro and depth sensing, along with an LED flash, while the front-facing camera is a 32 MP unit.
For audio, there are two Dolby Atmos-compatible speakers and two noise-canceling microphones; the battery is 65,000 mAh with fast charging up to 45 W. For connectivity, it features Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 6.0, NFC, GPS 5, and a 4G/5G modem with Dual SIM and eSIM support. It includes a USB-C port, and the fingerprint reader for unlocking the smartphone is integrated into the display.
