MSI has announced the new Cubi 5 1MA mini PC, a computer that this time features the latest generation of low-power Raptor Lake-U Refresh processors.
The MSI Cubi 5 1MA is available with the Intel Core 3 100U, Intel Core 5 120U, and Intel Core 7 150U processors. These are more than capable of efficiently running Windows, executing office applications, browsing the web, playing games to a certain extent, or playing multimedia in any format. The machine also features multiple connectivity options, notably a front-facing USB 4 port and two network connectors capable of 2.5G Ethernet speeds.
A compact machine that can be placed in any corner of your office or living room. It can be mounted behind a monitor using its VESA mount.
MSI Cubi 5 1MA Specifications
The MSI Cubi 5 1MA offers three processor options. The Intel Core 3 100U features 6 cores (2 performance cores and 4 efficiency cores) and 8 threads for everyday tasks; the Intel Core 5 120U ups the ante to 10 cores (2P 8E) and 12 threads , reaching 5.0 GHz; and the Intel Core 7 150U maintains the same configuration of 10 cores and 12 threads but boosts clock speeds up to 5.4 GHz. In terms of the integrated graphics, we have Intel HD Graphics with 96, 80, and 64 CUs, respectively—basic solutions not intended for demanding 3D gaming.
For RAM, it features 5200 MHz DDR4 across two SODIMMs, allowing for expansion to 64 GB with an additional module. For storage, it includes a 2280 M.2 NVMe 4.0 SSD and a slot for a 2.5″ SATA drive.
Other features
For wireless connectivity, the MSI Cubi 5 1MA includes an M.2 module with Wi-Fi 6E/5 and Bluetooth 5. In terms of ports, the perimeter of its compact case features a USB4port for data, video, and power, four USB 3.2 Gen 2 ports, a 3.5 mm audio jack, two 2.5G Gigabit Ethernet ports, and HDMI 2.1and DisplayPort 1.4video outputs that allow you to connect three displays at 4K@60Hzwithout any issues.
It comes with a 19V external power supply, a small VESA mount for attaching it to the back of any TV or monitor, and runs Windows 11 Pro.
