Mediatek has just introduced a new SoC aimed at its most important market, the low rangethe MT6739. This Chip is a Quad Core renewed at the GPU level, as it includes a PowerVR (now in Chinese hands) and natively supports dual cameras up to 13MP, a vogue in the low-end SoC sector.
MT6739 is a Quad Core with ARM Cortex-A53 processors capable of reaching 1.5Ghz and includes a PowerVR GE8100 GPU that reaches 570Hz of maximum speed. We also have support for up to 3GB of LPDDR3 memory, eMMc 5.1 storage, Wi-Fi a / b / g / n, Bluetooth 4.2 LE, GPS, FM radio and includes a LTE Cat.4 modem with Dual SIM support and dual VoLTE. The maximum resolution supported by this SoC is 1440 × 720, HD +, a clear spec that clarifies for what type of smartphones is oriented this new SoC.
- MT6739 will be available in the market later this year on a huge number of low-end smartphones.
