It seems that the SoC Hexa Core of Rockchip RK3399 is finding its place in the sector of the development boards since we seeing some of these plates every few weeks. Today we present the NanoPC-T4 with a very interesting PCB since it is equipped with a high level hardware such as 4 GB of RAM and a large expansion capacity since for example we found a port for SSD M.2. It is also a good news is that the base kit includes the power supply and a simple methacrylate box so we will not have to buy any extra to make it functional.
SoC, RAM and storage
The PCB NanoPC-T4 includes as core the Soch of Rockchip RK3399, a six core that integrates a cluster with two ARM Cortex-A72 processors able to reach 2.0Ghz and another cluster with four ARM Cortex-A53 processors while at the same level GPU has a Mali-T860mp4 with support for decoding H.26 / H.264 and VP9 4K@60fps codecs among others. We also have 4 GB of RAM and 16 GB storage memory eMMc 5.1 expandable via microSD card reader and also thanks to an M.2 port where we can install an SSD of this format.
Other specifications
The wireless connectivity on this board is similar to the rest of the components as it includes WiFi Dual Band aC with a pair of external antennas and Bluetooth 4.1 LE. As for connectivity, the options are multiple since we have among one of the integrated options a USB 3.0 port, 2 USB 2.0, 1 USB Type-C, HDMI 2.0a output, Gigabit Ethernet connector, audio jack, GPIO connector 40 pin, connector for camera up to 13MP and a long etcetera.
In this plate we can run Android 7.1.2 and Lubuntu 16.04 with acceleration of GPU and VPU, both systems will be available for download soon in your Wiki.
