We already have available on Amazon.es the new Fire HD 8 tablet model of the 2018-2019 season, a minor update on the previous version since the improvements are really minimal, almost imperceptible. The most noteworthy novelty is at the software level with the introduction of the Alexa voice assistant with a Hands-free mode, at the hardware level only the cameras and the microSD card reader that now supports higher capacity cards improve. Aesthetically we still have a fairly basic design, no narrow frames or other frills. Luckily the price remains the same, $79.99 (€99.99) for the simplest model.
In the Amazon Fire HD 8 2018 it seems that it will repeat the Quad Core SoC from Mediatek MT8163 with an ARM Mali-T730MP3 GPU, 1.5GB of RAM, 16 / 32GB of storage memory, expandable up to 400GB thanks to the microSD card reader. It also includes Dual Band WiFi, Bluetooth 4.0LE and a pair of 2MP cameras. The 8-inch screen in this case reaches up to 1280 x 800 pixels resolution, includes brightness sensor, has stereo speakers and a battery that theoretically holds up to 12h.
