The Xiaomi TV Box S 3rd Gen is largely focused on streaming content playback and arrives with a more rounded design and a controller very similar to previous versions. The main improvement over the Xiaomi TV Box S 2 is in power, as it now arrives with the Amlogic S905X5M SoC and a much larger 32 GB internal storage. A new Amlogic processor is manufactured in 6 nm that as you can see in our review is much more powerful than the Amlogic S905X4.
The operating system is Google TV 14 and includes all the necessary DRM certificates to watch in maximum quality paid streaming channels such as Netflix or similar platforms. Undoubtedly a TV-Box destined to be a bestseller like its predecessors.

Inside this new Box we find the Quad Core Amlogic S905X5M processor, manufactured in 6 nm. This integrates ARM Cortex-A55 processors with a power of 30K DMIPS and a new ARM Mali-G310 V2 iGPU. We have support for native decoding of H.265, AVS2, VP9 and AV1 codecs with resolutions up to 4K@75fps 10 bit, compatible with HLG, HDR10 and Dolby Vision technologies.
We have a single version of this Box with 2 GB of DDR4 RAM and 32 GB of eMMc storage. If we want to expand the memory we will have to use an external USB drive.
