Orange Pi Lite2 is a version of the PCB Orange PI One Plus that we saw a few days ago with the Allwinner H6 SoC that incorporates a chip with interesting features specifically for video playback. Basically this new development board eliminates the Gigabit ethernet port of the other PCB model although it now includes a USB 3.0 port, wifi aC and Bluetooth among others. One more option for those who are looking for a paca with this SoC and do not mind doing without the network port.
Orange Pi Lite2 includes the Allwinner H6 SoC as a engine, a Quad Core with ARM Cortex-A53 processors and an ARM Mali-T720mp2 GPU capable of processing 4K video at 60fps and 6K at 30fps thanks to its Allwinner Phoenix 3.0 VE engine, naturally supports native decoding for the most widespread codecs, including H.265. It also includes 1 GB of DDR3 RAM from the Allwinner brand, microSD card reader, WiFI aC with internal antenna, Bluetooth 4.1, IR sensor and microphone. In terms of connectivity it includes a USB 3.0 port, a USB 2.0 connector, another OTG microUSB, HDMI 2.0a output, MIPI CSI 3-pin debug port camera interface and a 26-pin connector.
At the software level at the moment we have to settle for Android 7.0 since various images based on Linux are currently in development for this new SoC.
- The Orange Pi Lite2 development board can be purchased on Aliexpress.com for around $28.15 shipping costs included
