It seems that these last weeks the panorama on the development boards equipped with Rockchip’s most powerful SoC, the RK3399, is animated, since the new Orange Pi RK3399 has just been put on sale. A board that includes options for Android 6.0 and Debian 9 as operating systems and that stands out for its huge connectivity options and sensors.
Orange Pi RK3399 includes the mentioned Rockchip RK3399 SoC, a Hexa Core that integrates a cluster with two ARM Cortex-A72 processors capable of reaching 2.0 Ghz and another cluster with four ARM Cortex-A53 processors, at the GPU level it has a Mali-T860mp4 with support for codec decoding H.265 / H.264 and VP9 4K@60fps among others. We also have 2 GB of RAM, 16 GB of eMMc storage memory, Dual Band Wifi and Bluetooth 4.1. In terms of connectivity we have a huge number of connectors, among which we highlight an mSATA port, a USB Type-C, HDMI IN / OUT, Gigabit network port, a DisplaPort 2.1 and a miniPCIe. Interestingly, we also found several sensors integrated into the board, such as compass, gyroscope and even a light sensor, something not very common in a development board of this price.
