Partaker K5 another low power multi-function basic miniPC


It seems that some processors like the Intel i3-5005U are immortal, since despite coming out at the beginning of 2015 we do not stop finding it in new Chinese and non-Chinese mini PCs.

The Partaker K5 is the typical low-consumption compact mini PC that we can find in any online store, although in this case we have the option to buy it without RAM or storage and mount it to our liking, since it has 2 slots for RAM and connectors for 2 disks. The inclusion of a DisplayPort connector that will allow us to take video up to 4K @ 60fps resolutions and its front USB Type-C is surprising. A mini PC suitable for basic uses such as office automation, navigation and with which we can even mount a multimedia centre thanks to its DP connector taking advantage of some RAM or SSD module that we have abandoned.

Processor, RAM and storage

The miniPC Partaker K5 includes an old known processor, an Intel Core i3-5005U manufactured in 14nm with 2 cores and 4 threads with a basic speed of 2Ghz and an Intel HD 5500 GPU cooled by an internal fan. For RAM, we have 2 DDR3L SO-DIMM Slots where we can install up to 16 GB, we also have a Slot for an M.2 SSD and a free 2.5″ SATA3 bay where we can install another additional storage unit. The Partaker K5 is available in different RAM and storage options and in a barebone version.

Other specs

The Partaker K5 includes Wi-Fi and Bluetooth in the wireless connectivity section in an M.2 module that comes installed. Regarding connectors, we have a good set with 2 USB 2.0 ports, another 4 USB 3.0, 2 Gigabit network ports, two 3.5 mm audio jacks, HDMI 1.4 video output, a VGA, a DisplayPort that supports 4K @ 60fps video output and a USB Type-C connector on the front.
