For some time we did not see a new hybrid tablet and miniPC of which we had accustomed the Chinese brand PIPO. Today we find in stores the new PiPo X3 a really curious miniPc that integrates a thermal printer that allows to use it as a touch TPV with the appropriate software. This new hybrid keeps the classic hardware, very fair by the way and includes Dual OS with Windows 10 Home and Android 5.1 something that is not seen lately. Finally note the absence of battery and the incorporation of RJ11 connectors for telephone line and RS232.
SoC, Ram and storage
PiPo X3 includes the old SoC Quad Core Intel Atom x5-Z8350, with 2GB of DDR3 RAM and 32GB of internal storage eMMc expandable only via the microSD card reader found in the back. A low end configuration for Windows but that to use it as PTV can be worth.
Screen and other specifications
The touchscreen is a 8.9 inches with a PLS panel that has a good resolution of 1920 × 1200 pixels. At the level of wireless connectivity we have wifi b/g/n with external antenna and Bluetooth 4.0, a bit basic. The included connectors are 3 USB 2.0 ports, a USB 3.0 port, Gigabit ethernet network connector, audio jack, RS232, an RJ11 and an HDMI port.
