It seems that the PIPO brand does not stop in its efforts to offer us new hybrid models between TV-Box and tablet, today we have a new product called PiPo X8RK that has Android 7.1 system and uses the Rockchip RK3288 SoC. This time we have a 7-inch screen with a hardware design that according to the brand is ready to work 24h / 365 days, thanks to its internal fan as well as a filter against dust and vibrations. It seems that Pipo has oriented its hybrid to the business and industrial sector, although it is still valid for the domestic sector.
SoC, RAM and storage
Integrated into the PIPO X8RK board we find the classic SoC RK3328 Quad core ARM Cortex-A53 and a Mali-450 MP2 GPU that has native H.265 and VP9 video decoding even in 4K resolutions @ 60fps with support for HLG HDR. It also has 2 GB of DDR3 RAM and 32 GB of eMMc storage memory that we can expand by adding a memory card in the included microSD card reader.
Other specifications
The screen of the PIPO X8RK is a 7 inch IPS touch with a resolution of 1280 x 800 pixels and that according to advertising is military grade. For wireless connectivity we have WiFi b / g / n with external antenna and bluetooth 4.0. At the connector level we have 4 USB 2.0 ports, 3.5mm audio jack, Gigabit network connector and an HDMI 1.4 video output.
