Without a doubt, the new POCO X8 Pro will be a bestseller, just like the current X7 Pro, a smartphone that stands out for its competitive price relative to the hardware it offers.
Information about this new smartphone was leaked for a few minutes on Xiaomi’s own website. The product will likely be unveiled in full in a few days or at an event at the upcoming MWC in Barcelona. In addition, we already have the final launch prices for the global version, although, as is usual in stores such as AliExpress, we can surely get it at a better price with their popular coupons.
The hardware seems fairly similar to previous models, but it is sure to remain a benchmark in its price range. For now, we know the important details, but everything will be finalized soon.
Specifications of the POCO X8 Pro and POCO X8 Pro Max
The POCO X8 Pro will feature the Mediatek Dimensity 8500 Ultra processor, which offers high performance in this range. Its screen has a 6.59″AMOLED panel with a refresh rate of up to 120 Hz and a peak brightness of 3200 nits. This option comes in versions with 8/12 GB of RAM and 256/512 GB of storage, with the price increasing for each version.
The POCO X8 Pro Max offers a more powerful processor solution, the MediaTek Dimensity 9500s, which we saw in a recent presentation. The screen in this version appears to be 6.83″ AMOLED, larger than the base model. This device comes with 12 GB of RAM and 256/512 GB of internal storage as standard, which cannot normally be expanded.
The camera section is identical in both; on the front, we have a 20 MP camera for selfies.On the back , we have a 50 MPmain sensor , an 8 MP wide-angle lens, and a 2 MP macro lens. The battery is 6500 mAh for the Pro and 8500 mAh for the Pro Max, both with fast charging. The Android system will feature the usual MIUI layer, which is not to everyone’s liking.
