POWKIDDY A19 a small retroconsole at a minimum price

The POWKIDDY A19 is a retro console that we can find in Chinese stores under a multitude of names (SuperRetro ….) that is portable in format and that today we see on Geekbuying at a minimum price. This handheld console with a GameBoy design has an IPS screen and has support for 13 emulators, including SNES, Dreamcast, N64, PSP, MAME … which will allow us to play thousands of games that we can download from it console. Its size is 14 x 9 x 2cm and we have 6 action buttons, 3 function keys, a crosshead, a small analog joystick in addition to a front speaker.



The POWKIDDY A19 game console includes a 3.5-inch IPS screen with 4:3 format and a resolution of 640×480 pixels. As a motor we have a Quad Core SoC with ARM Cortex-A7 processors that reach 1.3GHz and that includes 512MB of LPDDR2/3 RAM. The internal battery is 4000mAh and includes WiFi b/g/n and Bluetooth 4.0

This laptop works under Android 6.0 although we have an interface based on which include the famous Pandora’s Box, with a very simple and intuitive frontend. At the connectivity level we have a microSD card reader, microHDMI output, 3.5mm audio jack and a microUSB OTG port.

This unit is terrible. I must state that I have the last version before the “last” version with the upgraded dpad came out. That one is no better. It’s true you can play a few Dreamcast titles but not much. Forget about N64. You can program the buttons. GoldenEye did load and start and the lag was surprisingly decent but still unplayable and no controls. You can add N64, PlayStation and Dreamcast ROMs but.
