Retro lovers are already rubbing their hands with the new Powkiddy X18S laptop, a console that raises the power of these Chinese devices thanks to the integration of an Octa Core SoC UNISOC T618.
An SoC that leaves quite a distance in power to other chips traditionally used in this type of consoles, of which you can read our comparison and that allows to take a step forward in the emulation of consoles. It also has Android 11 as operating system and 4 GB of RAM. The Powkiddy X18S has a clamshell format, a 5.5″ screen and allows the emulation of DC, Gamecube, PSP, N64… As usual it includes software for key remapping and to control it we have a pair of gamepads, cross and various function keys.
It also seems that we would have access to the Google Play app store although it seems that we would need to install it manually according to the advertising.
