Today we found on AliExpress a new low-end Android Box called Q1 MINI+, a mediaplayer that boasts two user interfaces, Google TV and another specific one that seems to be nothing more than a Google TV mod.
Its base operating system is Google TV 14 with a mod in which it seems that you can add dynamic wallpapers (short videos) that can be downloaded from the Internet. The processor of this Box is a Quad Core Rockchip RK351, a trimmed version of the Rockchip RK3528, a fairly basic chip, so the RK3518 is not a recommended option if you are a bit demanding. As always, this is an Android box unsuitable for watching streaming apps like Netflix or Disney, as this is a box without certificates, if you want quality streaming services you have to go to other certified solutions.
This Chinese Box is only recommended for TV and monitors with Full HD resolution, no 4K, and it seems that it is compatible with AirPlay and Miracast to broadcast content wirelessly from any compatible mobile or tablet.
Processor and memories of the Q1 MINI+
This small Android TV-Box includes a simple Rockchip RK3518 processor. This Chip is a Quad Core with ARM Cortex-A53 processors and a modest ARM MALI-450 MP2 GPU of which we do not know its clock speed.
For RAM we have 2 GB DDR3 and for storage 16 GB of eMMc memory. We also have a micro SD card reader on one side from where we can expand the storage memory.
Other features
In the field of wireless connectivity, we have this time Wi-Fi 6 with internal antenna and Bluetooth 5.4. As connectors, we find in its plastic box we find the normal in this type of boxes, a USB 2.0 port, another USB 3.0, 10/100 network connector, 3.5 mm jack with analog A / V output, extension for the infrared sensor of the remote control and an HDMI 2.0 output port that allows us to output video up to 4K @ 60fps resolutions.
Delivered with the Q1 MINI+ is a remote control with infrared microphone, power supply and HDMI cable to start using this Box just by taking it out of the box and connecting it to our TV.
