New small-format multimedia player that we found in AliExpress with the name of Q96 and powered this time by an Allwinner H313 processor.
The Q96 is the typical low-end Chinese product, although this time it surprises us with a version with 8 GB of RAM, something unlikely, since this SoC is unable to manage such an amount of RAM, we are going to be another full-fledged fraud. As always in this format we have minimal connectivity options, and we don’t have the necessary certificates to watch paid streaming in high quality, if we are looking for that it is better to go for a certified device for streaming.
For the rest, the Q96 is an Android stick only suitable for basic use and powered by the low-end processor such as the Allwinner H313, whose performance you can check in one of our Reviews.
Q96 Dongle Specifications
The Q96 Android stick is powered by the Allwinner H313 SoC. A Quad Core chip with ARM Cortex-A53 processors that integrates Mali-G31 MP2 GPU with native decoding of h.265 and VP9 codecs and support for HDR10 video.
We have versions on board with 2/4 GB of LPDDR3 RAM memory and 16/64/128 GB of eMMc storage memory that can be expanded from the micro SD card reader that this equipment includes on the side of its small plastic box.
