The new high-end terminal realme GT8 Pro has just been presented in China, a smartphone that premieres collaboration with RICOH GR that adds lenses to its cameras and proprietary algorithms for image enhancement.
Highlight its x3 telephoto lens with a 200 MP sensor and the ability to record video in 4K quality at 120 fps with Dolby Vision. We are also struck by a curious system for modifying the exterior shape of the cameras by exchanging their bezel. Realme ‘s exclusive improvements can also be seen inside with an S1 chip that improves wireless communications, a dual core R1 chip that improves image quality in games and a state-of-the-art vibration system
As engine we have in this high-end with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite that being manufactured in 3 nm will provide us with high energy efficiency and plenty of power when we need it. Finally, the operating system is Android 16 with the Realme UI 7.0 layer and the chassis of the Realme GT8 Pro has IP69 certification.
Realme GT8 Pro Specifications
The Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 Octa Core processor manufactured in 3nm is in charge of moving this realme. Inside this Chip we find a configuration of 2 clusters, the fastest with 2 Prime Cores that reach 4.6 Ghz and a second with 6 Performance Cores that reach 3.6 Ghz. The GPU is an Adreno of which no details are specified at the moment, but which promises an increase in performance and efficiency of almost 25% compared to the previous generation.
The RAM memory has options with 12/16 GB LPDDR5X, although we can expand it virtually as usual. For storage we have versions with 256/512 GB and 1 TB UFS 4.1 high speed, it does not have micro SD.
Display and other features
Its display is an AMOLED LTO with size of 6.79 inches (ca. 17 cm), resolution of 3136 x 1440 pixels, 144 Hz refresh, brightness of 1000 to 7000 Nits compatible with Dolby Vision and including light and proximity sensors.
For selfies we have a 32 MP camera on the front, while on the back we have a 50 MP OIS main sensor, a 200 MP OIS EIS x3 telephoto lens and a 50 MP wide angle. We also find ultrasonic fingerprint reader under the screen, 5G connectivity with Dual SIM, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6.0, NFC and GPS multiple satellites.
As for connection interfaces, in this new phone we have at our disposal a USB-C port for data and recharging. The battery is 7000 mAh with 120 W fast charging, 50 W wireless and for audio we have two symmetrical speakers.
Availability and price
- The new realme GT8 Pro can currently only be purchased in China for about $499 / 485 € at the exchange rate and at the moment there are no plans for sale in the West, but we always have the option of AliExpress.
