The new high-spec Realme Neo8 smartphone has just been launched in China, offering excellent features for its price.
Inside its IP69-certified body with gamer touches and RGB lights in its original transparent design, we have a large 8000 mAh battery with 80 W fast charging that will give us many hours of battery life. Powering the device is the powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, which scores around 3,500,000 on Antutu and is reinforced with a cooling system that makes it suitable for many hours of gaming.
Also, noteworthy are its latest-generation 6.75″ 2.7K SAMSUNG M14 LTPS AMOLED screen and its camera with 3.5x optical zoom. Finally, the operating system is Android 16 with the realme UI 7.0 layer, which, as you would expect, comes loaded with iA tools.
Realme Neo8 specifications
The powerful 3 nm Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 Octa Core processor is responsible for powering this new Realme. Inside this chip, we find a configuration of two clusters, the fastest with two Prime Cores reaching 4.6 GHz and a second with six Performance Cores reaching 3.62 GHz. The GPU is an Adreno 830, which promises a performance and efficiency increase of almost 25% over the previous generation.
The RAM has options of 12 / 16 GB LPDDR5X, although we can expand it virtually as usual. For storage, we have versions with 256/512 GB and 1 TB UFS 4.1 high speed, but it does not have micro SD.
Screen and other features
The screen is a 6.78-inch SAMSUNG M14 LTPS AMOLED with a resolution of 2772 x 1272 pixels, a refresh rate of 165 Hz, and a brightness of up to 3800 Nits.
For selfies, there is a16 MP camera on the front, while on the back there is a 50 MP SONY IMX896 OIS main sensor, 80 mm zoom with 50 MP, and an 8 MP wide angle. It also features an ultrasonic fingerprint reader under the screen, an infrared sensor, 5G connectivity with Dual SIM, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6.0, NFC, and GPS, among other features.
In terms of connection interfaces, this new phone has a USB-C port for data and charging. The battery is 8000 mAh with 80 W fast charging, and for audio, there are two symmetrical speakers.
Availability and price
- The new Realme Neo8 is now available in China for only about €320 at the current exchange rate, although we expect to see it on AliExpress soon.
