The new Realme Pad 2 tablet has just been announced in India, an evolution of the current Realme Pad 1, which has been quite successful for its price.
The new Realme Pad 2 jumps in screen size, from the current 10.4″ to 11.5″, has 2K resolution and reaches up to 120 Hz refresh rate. We also have a good 8360 mAh battery with fast charging up to 33W and a Mediatek Helio G99 processor that will let us move smoothly any app or demanding game.
As we can see, it maintains its design with a metal unibody with a thickness of only 7.2 mm and otherwise quite interesting specifications.
Specifications of the Realme Pad 2
In this new Realme Pad 2 we find a MediaTek Helio G99 SoC, an Octa Core manufactured in 6 nm. A chip with 2 ARM Cortex-A76 processors that reach 2.2 Ghz + 6 ARM Cortex-A55 that reach up to 2.0 GHz. In the graphics section we have integrated GPU Mali-G57 MC2 that gives us access to play demanding titles smoothly. An SoC that we have already seen in in tablets like the Teclast T50 Pro.
The RAM memory we have soldered on board is 6/8 GB LPDDR4X (up to 12 GB virtual RAM) that allows us to load multiple apps or browsing tabs without losing performance. For storage we have options of 128/256 GB, it is not yet known if it will have expansion option.
Display and other features
The screen of the Realme Pad 2 is an 11.5″ IPS with O1 Ultra Vision Engine certificate, which reaches a resolution of 2000 x 1200 pixels, brightness of 450 nits, configurable screen refresh rate of 40/60/120 Hz and is compatible with pen with 2048 levels of pressure. In the photographic section we have an undetermined front camera and an 8 MP rear camera with LED Flash.
The exact details of the Wifi+Bluetooth adapter are still unknown, but there will be a version with additional modem. For connectivity, we find a single USB Type-C port as is becoming the norm. The battery is 8580 mAh with fast charging of 33 W that can give us an autonomy of up to 2 days.
We also have four speakers compatible with Dolby Atmos and will have Widevine L1 certificate so we can use streaming apps like Netflix or HBO MAX without problems.
Price and availability
- The Realme Pad 2 tablet will soon be available at an exchange price of around $219 in the cheapest version.
