The Redmi AX6000 is a new router from this Xiaomi sub-brand that has just jumped onto the stage and gives another twist to its family of routers like the recent Redmi AX5400.
A router with a minimalist design and sober lines that promises up to a 40% increase in coverage range and speed compared to other models of the brand. For its control, the Redmi AX6000 uses one of the new Mediatek processors specifically designed for routers, the new Filologic 830, with low consumption thanks to its 12nm manufacturing.
This time we have 4 external antennas with independent amplifiers with a theoretical maximum speed that can reach no less than 6000 Mbps. The Redmi AX6000 also implements technology to create WiFi MESH networks and is capable of handling up to 248 devices simultaneously.
Redmi AX6000 specs
The Redmi AX6000 is controlled by a Quad Core MediaTek Filologic 830 (MT7986A) processor manufactured in 12nm. A Chip with ARM Cortex-A53 processors that reach 2 Ghz and 512 MB of RAM.
The chip that manages the Wi-Fi 6E has the IEEE 802.11a/b/g/n/ac/ax and IEEE 802.3/3u/3ab protocols. This router also supports OFDMA, MU-MIMO, BSS Coloring, IPv6 and WPA3 encryption technologies. The 2.4Ghz band has a 4 × 4 antenna and reaches a maximum speed of 1148Mbps and while the 5Ghz band also has other independent 4 × 4 antennas at 160 Mhz that reach up to 4804Mbps.
In the Redmi AX6000 we have a Gigabit port for the connection bridge with our router and three Gigabit LAN distribution ports. The operating system, as usual, is based on OpenWRT with the corresponding MiWiFi layer, which we can manage and monitor through a Redmi app.
